On UK screens next week, Chloe Anderson of Home and Away reacts negatively to her mother’s leave plan.
When Chloe discovers that Mia wants to leave Summer Bay — and take her with her – she is shocked.
Mia makes plans to leave because she realises the Bay contains too many memories for her after her husband Ari Parata’s terrible death.
Tane, Ari’s brother, is concerned about Mia’s plans to leave, knowing that she has recently struggled with her mental health.
Mia dismisses Tane’s concerns that she wouldn’t be able to manage if she didn’t have assistance nearby, insisting that she simply wants a fresh start.
When Chloe finds out, she puts her foot down and declares that she will not be leaving the Bay with Mia.
After a few hours of tension, mother and daughter sit together to discuss their feelings.
While Chloe finds it comforting to be reminded of Ari while living in the Bay, Mia finds it excruciating.
They appear to require different things, resulting in an unclear future for their family.
Mia eventually determines that she will not be able to split with her daughter and will remain in the Bay in order to cope.
As we previously reported, Mia has already departed Home and Away in recent episodes that aired in Australia, so this will only be a temporary solution.
